The Talley Vocal Band
An impromptu quartet formed Saturday night, October 8, at a Talley Reunion concert in Northumberland, PA. “The Talley Vocal Band” performed “Satisfied” and “Jesus Is Coming Soon” featuring Roger Talley on bass, Kirk Talley singing lead, Talleys’ sound man Jimmy Whetsel on baritone, and Brian Alvey singing tenor…fun stuff!

Oh, this is great! Two tenors, two baritones making a quartet. Roger truly graduated from the Claude Hopper school! LOL
But Greg, that’s a whole lot better than four baritones, one of whom wishes he was a tenor, right?
More like, 3 baritones (including me) and one true tenor, Kirk Talley!
Wow!!! Roger sounds great on bass! And it’s good to see Kirk! You know the Gaither Vocal Band was born from a mixed trio…just sayin’
Sounded great. Maybe you should think of getting a bus & start to travel.
Sounded wonderful…….get a bus!
Way to go Jim!! Way to represent the sound men!
WOW! Just awesome. Best quartet sound I’ve heard in a few years
Loved it!!! So glad you took a video. Thanks for sharing!
Hey guys, it looks like you were having a ball! Lauren in the background looked like she might be having the most. Jimmy, great job! Brian, you’ll fit right in on the next Gaither video! Haha… Great job and we look forward to seeing you soon!
WOW!! great sound! Keep it up and you will give the GVB some competition!!!
England needs you!
Love
John & Norma
All of this is geat. Like Tony the Tiger used to say they’re g-r-r-r-reat!!
Hi Lauuren Alvey! I bet your group is so wonderful and God brought it all! Can’t wait to see you again in West TN! This is from Emma Johnson’s mother,Ginger
Brian, how did you decide who got to be the tenor with you and Kirk vying for the position? And it wasn’t a month ago when Daniel interviewed Roger who made it clear that he was no bass!!! Really must have been fun!
Actually, I didn’t want the tenor part..LOL. Kirk told me to sing it. As for Roger, he was the lowest singer in the line-up so he was voted in!
VERY VERY WELL..YOU MUSIC IS GOOD… GOD BLESS…
NOT IS GAITER VOCAL BAND, IS YOU OK ONLY YOURS… ADELANTE LO HACEN MUY BIEN…
So much fun! And remember – everyone, deep down – wants to be a tenor! Blessings, Paul
Great stuff. Hope to see you’ll again soon.
ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT =)
sounds good to me.
good seeing kirk
Enjoyed that. Thanks for sharing.
The quartet sounded great! It’s great to see Kirk! Haven’t seen him in a long time. Only one request! Please don’t leave Debra and Lauren out. I love to hear them sing as well.
Don’t worry, they aren’t going to start a new group without us
The guys started goofing around in sound check that day and decided it’d be fun to try it out that night on the second half of the concert- although, I don’t think anyone was expecting Brian’s “Glen Payne” run….that’s my favorite part
Fun Fun Fun, Looks like a good time was had by all. Good singing also.
I LOVED Brian’s “Glen Payne” run. Shows ya his blessers were being blessed. I love to see that excitement in the Lord. God Bless.
GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it. The Talley Vocal Band, Needs to do a concert tour….
So good to see Kirk.
Please start your tour in Mississippi!!!!!!!!!!!
Nice job… loved it!!
Great!!! I just love them, good to see Kirk in the group, he has a great Ministry, also Brian. Thanks for posting.
question! why are you in a car driving to Ga and not the bus?
It was cheaper and not that far from home.
Yes…on short trips like that we don’t always take the bus, especially if we don’t have to set up sound. Saves a LOT of money on fuel.

Somebody follows me on Twitter apparently
I just don’t know who that could be?
Lauren, do you have a video of you that you can post? your music is beautiful.
There are a lot of videos of Lauren on YouTube. Check ‘em out.
Knock down vocals, this is serious. As good as any gospel vocal sound I’ve heard. The Tally family is a precious story that must be more and more exposed as the best America has to offer. Don’t get me started. What an endearing entertainment and ministry, one that should be influencing mass mainstream secular America (I hope to be of service on that front some day). Can’t finish without re-asserting my awestruck love for the incredible lyrics and composing skill of our dear Lauren. Dear Lord and Mum and Dad, thank you for raising up childstar Lauren. What a huge positive influence on the young (and everybody). I can’t stop listening to the genius of her writing, not to mention the heavenly vocals that emanate from her mouth and from the entire Tally ensemble. Hubby has perfect tenor contribution. It’s all so perfect. Color me sold.
Ooops! Typo on “Talley” in my last comment. Sorry ’bout that, precious name to be honored, not misspelled!
Thanks I found them
This was the first time I had heard Brian sing. Great job! I would love to hear a Brian/Lauren duet!!!
Haha aww! I’ve never heard Brian sing! Can’t wait to see y’all sing live together in November!! I’m veeerry excited!! Miss y’all!!
What has come upon the scene now and where will it go? Enjoyed hearing the songs and hearing four parts. Good to hear Kirk again (but not in his best category -first tenor). No punt toward Brian as I’ve never heard him sing until now, but I’m sure his talent will fit in good with The Talleys. Hope you all come to the Jackson, Tn. area again so that I can enjoy your singing L I V E . Keep up the good work.
We love the celebration DVD and are wondering who composed the arrangemen of “I’ve Got a Song”. I am looking for just such an arrangement for our choir festival. Does anyone have this information?
PS: Lauren, you are a blessing to me…
Lauren,
I love the songs that you and your family, I hope you guys will be able to come to Central NY sometime, I would love to come to a concert.

Hey Lauren,
Is there a way I could get my hands on a copy of the accompaniment track to your version of “The Prayer”? I was panning on singing it for Christmas, but I cannot find the accompaniment. If you could help me out that would be so great!
Thanks,
Lauren C.
