Singing (and Speaking) in the Sun
Hey y’all,
Thought you might enjoy this video from the Singing In The Sun 2010 Women’s Conference in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, a couple of weeks ago. I spoke from the “Songs In The Night” book and sang one of the new songs. Don’t worry, guys—you can enjoy it, too!
(And sorry for the blinding white suit—didn’t realize it would be so bright!)

Thanks for sharing this with us. You are up early this morning. There’s definitely nothing wrong with being an early riser. May the Lord bless your day. I’ve been meaning to ask something. How is the Talley Trio’s former sound man / bus driver, Greg Shockley (I think this is his name) doing?
I listened to this video and enjoyed what you had to say. It sounds like the Lord blessed you through a very challenging, trying time in your life. You are right about changing your attitude when the devil would have you to forsake God and focus only on yourself. That is when we must overcome the devil and glorify God by keeping a positive attitude. If you dwell on the bad, it just makes you feel worse. God is good and we should Him all the glory always. May the Lord continue to bless you in your song ministry.
What a deserving praises to the almighty.

Thank-you for sharing this. It was encouraging.
The song you sang has helped me in my life when I needed to be reminded to trust Jesus with certain situations. Thank-you for letting God use you.
Miss Lauren,
Just yesterday I was sharing your book with my best friend, now she can tune in and get a first-hand lesson of the “Songs in the Night” power study.
Best Regards,
Cap-pea-ton_jan
Thank you Lauren. Bless your life…
Good to see and hear you again:-)
Best whishes from Marita
I forgot to mention, I really enjoyed this video and your song, thanks!
Ms. Talley…. your songs touch my heart so much. There are times when I feel as though I’m walking this walk alone and I can hear just one of your songs and I know that everything is ok. I know I am not alone that my Lord and Savoir is only just carrying me through these hard times I have. I absolutly love the new song Song in the Night……. AWSOME. Thank you for all your hard work that you do with putting together your songs and letting us worship with you through them. My little girl loves to sing your song The Broken Ones. Wants to sing is everytime we go to church or in the car going somewhere. thanks so much!!!! :0)
Lauren, I was there that day to hear you speak. I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed all of you ladies. You were very uplifting. I don’t think anyone in the room had a dry eye. God bless you and your ministry.
What a gift you are to others and your words of encouragement are from you heart and I can feel that. Thank you for being on the “Front Lines” for us and I will keep you in my prayers.
Hi Lauren; Just a short note. I would love to hear your song but I don’t know how to connect. Maybe one of your friends would tell me how to do it. You are my favorite singer. I have watched you on other programs, Pastor Hagee for one. I will keep looking for an answer. Love in Christ, Virginia Bjorklund
Virginia,

I see NOBODY complained about the “blinding white suit”!! I’ve seen you a number of times, Kid. You always look great, regardless of what you wear! We, you fan base, love you for you, not for what you wear! May God continue to bless you and to use you for the furtherance of His kingdom!
Thank you for being so transparent in sharing your journey with others. May God continue to bless you & guide in the service He would have you do. God be with you. You are a treasure.
Is there a way to hear the rest of the Ladies’ Conference at Singing in the Sun?
Lauren, Rosie and I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the concert in Carthage! You guys did a fantastic job! We would have been on time but GPS doesn’t know where that church is at! LOL!! Give your mom and dad our best and again what a great job!
Hi Lauren,
Great video, it really is good to hear/see you again. God Bless you……….
Hi Lauren, thanks a lot.You are giving hope for true happiness.God bless you.I am from Malta,Europe.Lauren, thanks again and keep doing your good job.
God bless you, Lauren. Know that He is definitely using you as a “channel of blessing” to so many people. A dear friend of mine gave me a card at a very low time in my life that said, “God has to go through a whole lot of dirt to make a beautiful flower.” He will NEVER leave us. Like you said…God already knows our our problems and thoughts…we should just go ahead and lay them at His feet. He IS a big boy and can handle anything we are going through. Jesus is all we need!!
Love ya!
Gail

Hi Lauren! We missed to be there this year! Thank you for putting this out. We loved to hear the messages and the songs. Miss you all. God Bless you
Lauren! WOW!

Lisa C.
Great job on Charles Stanley tonight. You were awesome as always.
i have to say one more thing God bless your wonderful ministry
Lauren,
I was getting ready for church this morning and as I was flipping through the channels, I came across you and your parents on Charles Stanley. It was a nice surprise to see you all on TV. I can’t remember if you said yo were going to be on or not. I really enjoyed the song, Broken Ones. I usually don’t watch this show, since it is on Sunday mornings at 7:00pm and since I have to be at church at 8:00am for music practice myself.
Thank you so much for sharing Lauren. Wow – what an inspiration you are! May the Lord continue to bless you and use you.
Lauren
How much I enjoy your communications and messages! If you are ever in our neighborhood again I will have a car load to see and hear you!
Your sister in Christ
My, oh my, how I needed that this morning, Lauren! THANK YOU!!!
Our personalities & paths appear to have some remarkable similarities. Until a few months ago, I think my mum was probably the only person who had ever seen me cry. (I’m getting better at it, too!!!). I’ve also had chronic fatigue & clung to many of the same passages of Scripture for dear life.
At the moment, I am somewhat displaced & am finding it harder still when all the “Songs In The Night” that the Lord has used to help bring me through past trials are all in storage.
I know that it is impossible for the Lord to forget me, but even that thought does my head in – it would be easier to think He’d forgotten me, than for Him to know I’m hurting & to leave me adrift.
Anywhoosy, thanks for throwing me a lifeline this morning!
Lotsa love,
Hannah
Hello Lauren! My mom and I saw you in Seveirville last year for the first time. You seem like such a nice christian person. I was wondering if you could email me. I had a question. Thank you and God bless.
Wow, what a great book and group of songs. My favorite saying is from Rick Warren, You don’t know God is all you need until God is all you have. God has been strong and used you most when you were at a low point in life as he does all of us. Great Job, great energy and wonderful message. I would love to have you do a concert for us in Warrenton VA. God bless you and your ministry.
20 years ago I surrendered to God’s call for ministry. 17 years ago I was ordained. My journey has included serving full time on church staffs with my primary responsibility being as a worship pastor. 7 years ago, I found myself in an unfamiliar place. I was told I was no longer wanted and asked to resign my position immediately. As far as I knew, everything was fine up until that point. No other reason was given other than I wasn’t wanted anymore. For the past 7 years, I have not been able to get to the point where I could ever put myself and family in that position again. So I have literally struggled daily with God’s call and purpose on my life, not being able to have the courage to even pursue another ministry position. But God just won’t let up. I am afraid that I have been hanging on to the things of this world for security and I know better. I walked away from my last ministry experience with so many questions. I have even sat in the floor crying to God asking why? It has been a long, hard road and I know that each day I am one day closer to getting through this. While I know that God is all I need, He uses people along our journeys to get us to where He wants us to be. I believe God has allowed our paths to cross through the means of the internet in order for me to hear and learn from you things that God wants to use in my own situation. Thank you for being transparent and real and willing to share. I know from experience how hard it is to share personal struggles and mistakes, especially when you have a ministry platform with so many high expectations. But as you probably already know, it really haelps someone like me to see and hear somone in your position relate personal stories of how God has brought you through the “night” times. Maybe one day, should God lead, I could once again be willing to open up and share my own story and help others as you have helped me. I pray that you and your family continue to be used mightily by God. Thanks again for your ministry.
Hey Lauren, I wanted to ask you when you met Governor Huckabee at Singing In The Sun, did he invite you to be on his show? If he didn’t, he should have. I emailed him a note about it. Maybe he’ll read it.
Lisa

I enjoy listening to your words in speaking and music. I too, have found that a positive additute makes all the difference in this life. I’ve had people say that I’m wierd, however, they seem to ask me other questions anyway. Thanks for all you do. My ministry is to help women who have gotten caught up in abusive relationships to see what got them their and to become a survivor as myself with the Love of Jesus.
