Happy Easter!!
THAT WAS GOOD. ITS NICE TO SEE THE VERY YOUNG DOING POSITIVE THINGS. HAPPY EASTER TO ALL AND GOD BLESS.
Hallelujah Christ arose!!!!!! Amen and Amen!!
In the words of the great George Younce, if that doesn’t light your fire . . . your woods wet!!
I love choruses, but to hear little voices sing those powerful words from that classic hymn from memory was so moving. I pray they continue to sing them over and over and they are forever etched in their memories, until Christ makes them alive in their spirits.
Thank you Lauren for sharing that. It is truly beautiful and it just made my Easter. I’m passing it on.
Philda
Lol I like that quote,,,,,,,

That was just awesome, for young children to learn a song like that, gave it so much more meaning. God Bless them and you and your family.
Happy Easter! to all of you, also.

I want to wish you & your folks a very happy Easter. God is so very good to all of us. I am so happy that I belong to Him. Just to think that our Jesus died on the cross for all of us. Jesus paid it all for all of us, Praise God. Goodbye my favorite singers.
That is great! Do you these kids, Lauren?
Do you KNOW these kids, I meant to say. That’s what I get for typing and watching the Final 4 at the same time.
Me too! Who you for? I like Butler.
I don’t know these kids or where the video came from…my aunt sent it to me about a month ago and I’ve been saving it for Easter! Apparently it’s been passed around a lot.
That was awesome! That younger one has some pipes! We had our Good Friday service yesterday and we played your song, His Life For Mine, and it went pretty well. We did have to make a few changes to the song, the key that it was written in was a little to high for the tenor that sang the song, so we changed it from the key of D to the key of A. We also took the song faster than what you recorded on the CD. The CD takes the song at about 56 beats, where we took it around 75. The guy that sang the song was really impressed with your range bassed on the recording of this song. He just could not sing that high comfortablely.
I was able to listen to your book this week and I was really impressed. I had no idea that you were going through some hard times. I pray that everything is better and you can get back to your old self. I did like the chapter, The Heart of Jesus. I would have to agree with the description of what a Godly man is to be. Having Jesus as an example of what I should be is hard and I would say it always a struggle. But that is why the christian life is like a race and we will be completed someday when Christ returns. For the flip side of this, its just as hard to find a Godly woman. I’m still single and I would have to say it not easy for us guys either. Its even harder for me, since I do not drive a car. I have absence siezures, which are short (2-8 seconds) blackouts (its like daydreaming or spacing off) that would be dangerous if I were driving. So asking a women on a date it not an easy thing to do. Its bad enough just calling then and asking without sounding nervous and waiting for “bad news” and then if they say yes, asking if they would want to drive. I have always heard that a Godly women should be like the women described in Proverbs 31.
Well enough about me. I have listened to the CD and I was really impressed with the song selection. The one song that I really liked was the song He Will Carry You.
I first heard this song in late grade school/junior high school done by the Continental Singers. This song is part of the Dreamer album which goes through the life of Joseph (my favorite bible story). I listened to this song all the time and it really made me understand that no matter what life throws at you, God is always there, He Will Carry You.
Thanks again for this project and sharing your life with us. I will be praying for you and your family! I hope you enjoy the “pizza and ball game”.
Happy Easter!!!
I’m so glad you enjoyed the book and that it encouraged you. I love hearing all the different ways that it’s speaking to people and what you’re getting from it. Obviously not everyone has a story like mine, but we’ve each got a story and the truths of the faith are applicable to everyone.
Hope you’ll join us for the Power Study…we’re going to dig deeper and go farther!
“And He lives fowever with His saints to WEIGN….”
LOVE it!!

I thought you was just tricking us. I thought it was Kirk and Roger too. How cute!

Hey Lauren, just wanted to tell you that my coworker and I arranged the First Annual Eye Surgery Center Of Louisiana Easter Egg Hunt at our office on Thursday. All the doctors were out, so we came up with this idea as a surprise to the staff. We stuffed plastic eggs with Reeses Eggs, Hershey chocolates and some of them had quarters in them and we designated three super eggs that had gift cards to the Baskin Robbins/Dunkin Donuts store across the street as the Big Prizes. We hid the super eggs in really hard to find places so they would be worth it. Our Administrator was in on it, and called all the front desk people and the business office girls to his office for a “meeting,” while my coworker and I hid the eggs all over the office. Then he called us in the back and asked if we had anything to add to the “meeting,” and that’s when we announced the Easter Egg Hunt. You should have seen the faces on these women. Lauren, you would not believe how much fun all these girls of all ages were having. It was just a blast. Later, our Administrator came and told us what a good idea that was and what a great way to break the monotony of the day, and how much all the girls enjoyed it. Then some of the girls came up and told us thank you and how much fun they had. We were grinning so much you could probably have heard my lips stretching from here!
I’m trying to remember, “Having A Good Attitude Sets You Apart From The Pack.”
Lauren, I hope you got to have an Easter Egg Hunt, too. If you did, I hope you got the super egg!
Lisa
I was too engrossed in the Final Four this weekend to hunt for eggs, but I’m glad y’all had fun!
Also good for you for taking action to make a boring day at work better! There’s a good lesson for all of us there…when we start blessing others, we get blessed in return
But it starts with us!
THAT is going the Extra Mile my friend!
This is cute. Lauren, hope u had a good easter sunday. My family has been in this weekend. This singing reminds me of my nephew. He loves to sing too. I’ve been listening to “He’s Alive” and “His Life For Mine” all day and we sang “The Debt” at my church this morning. I’m so thankful Jesus Christ Arose from that grave.
the video was great! i hope you that you and the talley trio had a great easter.
That was absolutely adorable, Lauren. While the younger one has pipes, the older one seems to hear alto to some degree. It always interests me when kids that young can “hear” harmony to any degree. What a gift. And what a memory those two little ones have at such a young age. Kudos to their mom or whomever is encouraging and showing them the way. I couldn’t help but be reminded of a picture of my three sisters and I (I was about five) standing up in our living room singing for somebody and Mom reaching around one of my sisters to swat my behind for not singing! Someone actually took a picture of that, can you believe it?! I was also reminded of a video of you singing “God Likes People” and wondering if we’ll someday get to look back and watch these two grow up singing, if they will be part of the ones “who come behind” when it’s our turn to be “those who’ve gone before”. May they be as real, filled, and dynamic as you! Happy Easter, and thanks. You always make me think!
I can”t believe that you are still performing with your parents. I know that I could not be on the road with my folks for a day. It just goes to show you that you’re doing what the Lord commands. You have very nice parents and I know that you know that also. I saw you at Concord BC at the CD table over a year ago in my home town Anderson, S.C. Keith Plott is a good friend and he said that he knew you and The Talley’s. I hope to be doing some recording for him soon. Take care and hope to see ya soon. Jimmy Gilstrap
They’re so cute.
Happy Easter to you, your parents and those kids.
Lauren, thanks for sharing that with us. The Lord blessed those two young boys to do a great job with the song. I hope the Lord blessed you and your parents with a good Easter day in praise and worship to our Lord. May God bless all.
Priceless is all I can say….
