Colts, Saints, Songs In The Night, and The Extra Mile
Hey y’all,
Wanted to update you on a few things that I’m really excited about!
1. The “Songs In The Night” book went into production yesterday! I’m now awaiting e-proofs (Is that a word? Oh well. It is now.). I can’t wait for you to dive into these Scriptural studies with me- this is the beginning of great things for all of us!
2. “The Extra Mile: Dig Deeper, Go Farther” conference is registering new participants every day and we want YOU there!
-Pigeon Forge, TN. March 20.
-The premiere of “Songs In The Night.” New book, new music, a new season. Not just for me, but for you too.
-I found out what my mom will be speaking on and it’s going to be great. She’ll be teaching us how the way we think affects every avenue of our lives and how we can choose to let God control the way we see ourselves, the way He does. We all need to hear that.
-I’ll be talking about how we can respond to adversity in a Godly manner and what lessons God might be teaching us during those times. I’ll also be showing how God can take our pain and use it for our good and others’ benefit as well.
-TWO concerts that night! I’m singing all new songs for you, and the Talley Trio will be singing your favorites!

3. “The Extra Mile” single is the number 3 new add on radio stations nationwide- how cool is that?!
And my Colts are headed to the Super Bowl. For all my Saints fans…it’s gonna be a good game, and that’s all I’ll say about it

Timmy wanted to tell you that he was really happy to see you in Yukon last Sat. He was on cloud nine – had to show everyone at church your pic on Sun. morning…. in fact, after they announced that you would be singing in Prague on Sun. a.m., he wanted us to ‘let him off’ in Prague on the way home Sat. and he would go to church there Sun. a.m…. I told him he would have a VERY cold night sleeping in the parking lot of the church. (He changed his mind)
We have sleet, snow and ice here today – he is worrying if the Talleys are safe in this weather. Hope you are all well and recovered from your weekend.

Hehe…those guys are great. Went on a cruise with them and my friends the Beene Family last August. Never laughed so hard in my life.
Who Dat say they gonna beat them Saints. I like both teams so I’m a winner either way.
I actually like both teams too…shhh
But I’m a Peyton Manning fan first, so I’ll be in blue that day!

Well, I really wanted to see the Vikings play the Colts, I think it would have been a better game bcz of Manning vs. Farve – believe it or not I had picked both to go to the Superbowl and I was one win away from my prediction becoming reality, oh well, better luck next time! I think it’ll still be a good game but not as good as the other – btw, the saints didnt really win that game – haha – the Vikings just lost it! lol! May the best team win! Go Colts, Ooooh, did I say that toooo LOUD?!!! Congrats to both teams for topping their respective divisions to make it this far! Keep it Real! SDK!

haha, Lauren, you might get a kick out of this. being a life-long Detroit Lions fan, (and a season ticket holder, too) i find it difficult to whole-heartedly root for another team. but in losing a friendly wager to a buddy, i had to agree to wear a Colts cap to work every night till the SuperBowl. since Indy is only 3 hrs away from home, i guess it wont be too bad. and cant wait to see/hear ya in Pigeon Forge ~ GO TEAM !
Lauren how can something called a colt beat something called a Saint??? I would also like to say I had the opportunity to hear Mr, Wonderful sing this last Sunday night. Good voice as well. I plan on seeing you all in Texas on the 27th of February. I do not know if you have heard the trio Hissong but they are wonderful. Hope everything works for you on superbowl Sunday. I was wondering, as someone earlier did, if you could provide a video feed of The Extra Mile and we could log on and pay a fee to attend the conference on line. Someone else had asked but I don”t think they got an answer. Being from Canada, I just can’t get down there that weekend.
Well we’re not sure if the technology is going to be available to do that on that day, but we’re investigating.

Lauren, My family is the Colt’s fan. Peyton Manning’s dad is a cousin to a friend of ours from Brookhaven , Ms. I’m Tenneesse fan also. Is your book supposed to be in Wal-Mart? I may get one.
At this time we don’t have any plans to release the book to Walmart. It will be available for download or ordering as a hard copy or audiobook on this site.
Hey, Lauren, enjoyed the concert in Yukon, OK last weekend & also enjoying talking to you. Thanks for posing for a picture. Wish I could have stayed over for the concerts the next day but had to get home to Wichita, a 2.5 hour drive. I’m anxiously awaiting release of your book & CD. Wish you all the best with your conference, again it’s too far for me to go too but hope it’s everything you want it to be & brings glory to the Lord.
Hello Lauren. Sure seems likes the Songs in the Night book is coming along very well-great to hear. Looking forward to The Extra Mile: Dig Deeper, Go Farther and hearing your mom talk & you and the concerts. It is definitely going to be an extremely faith rewarding day for me and for many others. I also have a feeling in my heart that it will be a great day for the Talley Trio with the days events. I do hope the Colts win but if they don’t at least it would be the Saints winning. But I will be rooting for Peyton Mannings team. Thanks for your wonderful friendship and all you do, it is appreciated.

Okay, Y’all, It seems most of you are Colts fans, but you gotta understand this is 43 years in the making for Saints fans. It’s crazy, but this event has unified the people of Metro New Orleans more than anything we’ve seen. Everyone is so happy just to be going to the Super Bowl. Don’t get me wrong, I’d like to see us win, but we are thrilled just to have our team playing in the Super Bowl. Don’t forget, Peyton is a New Orleans Boy, so everyone here loves him, too. My friends and I will be watching, eating red beans and rice and sausage and King Cake, and cheering on the Saints!

Always good to read a new post from you, Lauren. While my wife and I are pulling for the Colts (she’s an Indiana girl ; ) ) I’d like to put in a good word for my Kansas Jayhawks vs the archrival Kansas State tomorrow. On ESPN, btw, if you get a chance to watch what should be a GREAT Big 12 BB game! Of course, if anyone else were playing K-State, I’d have to back them.

I am happy for the Saints and their fans. But would have much rather seen Brett Favre vs. Peyton Manning in the SB. But as it may be. I will be pulling for the Colts and # 18 in this one. He is a special player, guys like him comes don’t come aroung very often. So we should enjoy watching him while we can.
Brett Favre has had his day, now it’s Brees’s! It’s gunna be a fight at my hosue because my brother likes the colts and the rest of us are die hard saints fans! Never know! But I DO KNOW the 2 best teams made it!!!!

Hey Lauren! I contacted you last year when I was at college. I’m still waiting on that duo hehehe. The music is coming along fine as I see yours is as well. Congrats on the website. I’m getting ready to go to LIberty Law school in Virginia, so let me know about that duo before the books get heavy. hehe. I may even cheer for the Colts even though I predicted the Saints last year. SSSSSSHHHHHHHHHH! I’m not a Saints fan- I just predicted their success. I’m a Steelers fan and we’ve had it good for the last four years. The Saints are just due this year, but when opportunities arise the team that takes advantage of those moments will win the super bowl. The real victory is in Jesus and soul winning. dear laruen i had a garndmother that was in the nuseing home a long time ago i keep thinking to myself dose she even remeber me i thought she dose in spirit thats one of the thing keep me going but she want to with the lord one year after i get of high school and so did my grandfather form that day on i keep think has god get a plan for me but one nigth i keep hearing something and was the god himself calling me to preach and so the that nigth i called my mother i cause was going thorw something and yes was crying and she hand the to my stepfather which in the middle of wart mart i told him i think god has called to preach and he had shouting spil rigth in the middle of wart mart god was work in way that i cant say

Thank goodness I’m not the only one that saw that! I actually felt sorry for Brett Farve. There were so many instances where there should have been flags for roughing the passer. I’m not really a Colts fan, but between the Colts and the Saints I’m definately rooting for the Colts. I wanted to see Brett Farve go to the Super Bowl especially since he’s probably not going to be playing much longer.

Trust your week is off to a good start! Talked to your dad yesterday to see if ya’ll made it home okay and he said that the ice was just melting good enough where he thought you and your mom could get up the hill. What a blessing it was to me and to Valley Grove Church to have ya’ll worship with us Sunday. The Lord used you and your parents to touch a lot of lives with the songs that God ministered through ya’ll. I hope that we can get together again real soon and worship the Lord together. We are very wound up about the championship game. It’s a great shoot out. I’ll pick the NO Saints in a close game.

hey Lauren, I just signed up for March 20 & can’t wait. God has been doing some hummmm….I’d like to say strange maybe things in my life lately. I feel like Moses….I’m like ok Father, you sure you are talking to me? This idea of Yours is pretty far fetched. But, I can’t let it rest so I am plugging away at what He has asked me to do….& go figure…it’s write a book bout what He has done for me. I’ve finished it & sent it to copyright. But, now I have no idea what to do next. It’s a tiny book. It’s about depression & how the Lord brought me thru it. He’s laid it on my heart as a ..like a self help book. It’s small…only 40ish pgs. It’s going to be a paperback b/c I need it to be cheap & affordable. Gosh Lauren, I don’t know if you would even give me a little of your time, just to see what you think of what God is telling me to do w/it. Again, it’s like a crazy dream God’s put in my heart & I can’t shake it….gotta do this for Him. I know He can make it all happen…I just don’t have a clue as to how or where I go next. And, I can’t believe He keeps putting you in my life here & there. So, might as well ask, since I believe He said to. Anyhow…..I can’t wait til March 20. You & your family are a huge part of my life…I listen to yall everyday to work & home & on my ipod at work (when folks leave me alone!Ha!) Take care….hope to talk w/you. Telling stuff about myself that is not too pleasant & stuff that…well…is easier to keep quiet about is tough…but I always told the Lord, that if He could use my story to help just one person….that I’d tell it all….because He saved me & He loves me & that’s just amazing!
